For as long as I can remember, I have felt different. Growing up between cultures, I often carried the quiet awareness of being other, never quite fitting neatly into one box, but also never wanting to. Still, that difference came with a constant sense of being judged, misunderstood, and at times, misplaced.
As I grew older, those early feelings evolved. The expectations of adulthood, professional life, and motherhood began to layer over that sense of self, until I found myself questioning where I truly belonged. I have always been a little unconventional, often choosing paths that didn’t look like the 'expected' ones. And while that gave me independence and perspective, it also came with moments of loneliness and self-doubt.
But in those moments, I also found my purpose. I realised how deeply so many of us crave a sense of belonging, not just to others, but within ourselves. That realisation sparked a desire to help women who might feel the same way - navigating the pressures of identity, culture, and life in a world that often asks us to be many things at once.
Through Big Little Space, I have built what I once needed myself - a space for women to pause, reflect, and reconnect. A space that welcomes difference, celebrates individuality, and believes that even the smallest choices can lead to meaningful change.
Professionally, I bring together my background in HR and people development with my training as a certified mindset and empowerment coach, helping others grow through inclusion, wellbeing, and confidence. Personally, my work in maternal wellbeing and advocacy has deepened my belief that when women feel seen, supported, and empowered, they can truly thrive - at home, at work, and within themselves.
This is my journey, one of rediscovery, belonging, and courage. And Big Little Space is my way of helping other women begin theirs.
To belonging and becoming,
Sroash
